Busta Rhymes surrendered to the police: Accused of attacking his assistant

Busta rhyme reportedly surrendered to police after an incident in New York where he allegedly lashed out at his assistant, Dashiel gablefor allegedly being on the phone at work. TMZ reports that the rapper is facing multiple charges following the January 10 assault.

Details of Busta Rhymes’ alleged assault on his assistant

According to New York Post OfficePolice allege that Busta Rhymes, real name Trevor Smith Jr., punched assistant Dashiel Gables in the face multiple times, causing his left eye to swell. TMZ shares that after the assault, Rhymes fled the scene and Gables immediately called the police. Authorities and medical personnel quickly responded and Gables was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

On Tuesday, January 14, Busta Rhymes voluntarily surrendered to the NYPD and was reportedly issued a waitress ticket for misdemeanor assault, attempted assault and harassment. The court appearance means Rhymes must appear in court on a designated date to deal with the charges.

Up to now, Busta Rhymes has not responded to the allegations or commented on the incident.
