Details of Nelly’s performance at Donald Trump’s Inauguration

On Tuesday, January 21, Instagram user @livebitez took to the platform to share the apparent livestream scene recorded from the crowd at the inaugural ball. In the video, Nelly is seen entering the stage as the narrator’s voice seemingly sharing the rapper’s life story with the crowd.

Furthermore, the narrative explains that Nelly was born on a military base in Austin, Texas and grew up in St. Louis, Mo. Additionally, the narrative shares that various members of Nelly’s family have served in the armed forces.

“Only in America can you go from the streets of St. Louis arrives at the White House,” said the narration before Nelly’s performance began.

Social media users appeared to criticize Nelly for supporting Trump’s decision to perform at the 2017 inaugural ball. Dark Room commentary.

Ahead of Donald Trump’s performance at the inaugural ball, he spoke more about his decision

Before going on stage, Nelly shared her decision again when speaking with ABC News. The rapper reiterated that he believed it would be an “honor” to perform for the president and that he apparently “never thought” it was possible.

“For me it’s not a political issue. For me, the political part is over. He won and growing up, I was taught to respect the office, so Nelly was here,” he said.

Additionally, Nelly explains why he didn’t back down from the initial criticism he received for his choice.
