FFXIV lacquer art panels will be on display again
The Wajima Lacquerware Youth Association has announced a new exhibition of Square Enix-inspired plate artwork Final Fantasy XIV. The group will introduce the FFXIV lacquerware at Isetan Shinjuku department store for a week in mid-February 2025.
There will be three different types of artworks on display at the exhibition. The first part will introduce the delicate art of Dreadwyrm. The second one will have the silhouette of Bahamut. The third and final item will feature the bird and Elpis flower representing the character Meteion.
However, there will be no new plans to set up new pre-orders for lacquer products. Wajima previously opened orders for Bahamut and Meteion printed panels at 66,550 yen and 40,700 yen respectively. The first round of pre-orders opened today December 12, 2023but it was interrupted by the Noto earthquake. The second wave launched June 11, 2024but Wajima closed pre-orders on August 9, 2024.
