Team Asano comments on the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D announcement


Team Asano shares a few words about the announcement Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake back when it was first revealed in May 2021. The developers said the game’s announcement came earlier than usual and they regret the early reveal.

In it, Team Asano mentioned the unusually early announcement of the game made in May 2021. The English translation of the post is as follows:

People say it took us too long from the time we announced the start of development (for the game), but all of our previous titles took 3 or 4 years to develop, so Really nothing special.

However, the announcement came earlier than usual (and we’re sorry about that.)

Officially known as Creative Business Unit II within Square Enix, Team Asano is directed by developer Tomoya Asano. This group is known for developing brave default series, as well as octopus tourists, Triangle strategy2022 Live One Live remake, and most recently Dragon quest HD-2D remake.

The Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake will launch on November 14, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PC via Steam. Additionally, Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D remake will appear in 2025.
