Blueface gets a break in prison sentence

A judge in Sin City imposed the sentence on Blue after he violated probation in connection with the October 2022 shooting. Hot97 Blueface, born Johnathan Porter, attended the hearing in Las Vegas on June 24 by phone, the Associated Press reported.

Based on 8Current newsClark County District Court Judge Kathleen Delaney sentenced him to three years of probation and suspended his prison sentence from two to five years. To put that in perspective, this means the Los Angeles artist will not have to serve any jail time if he chooses to comply with Delaney’s conditions.

8NewsNow revealed that Judge Delaney also imposed a 30-day jail sentence on the rapper, but gave him credit for time already served because he is currently in custody in a separate case in California. Although Blue was given a slight reprieve, he must adhere to strict probation conditions.

According to 8NewsNow, the musician must stay away from drugs and alcohol, stay off the Las Vegas Strip, attend counseling, have no contact with the shooting victim, maintain a full-time job, abide by a curfew, report to parole, and be allowed access to his social media and social media.

Judge Delaney also gave Blueface a stern warning regarding weapons.

“If you get caught doing that, you’re going to be brought back here for any kind of probation violation, especially anything involving a weapon, I wouldn’t hesitate to put you in jail for a significant amount of time. You’re playing with your freedom, obviously your life. But you’re playing with your freedom if you’re going to possess a gun and do anything that violates your probation in that regard,” Delaney explained.
