Marriott has six co-branded cards available to new cardholders, with annual fees ranging from $0 to $650 per year. Marriott Bonvoy Bevy American Express Card falls in the middle, with an annual fee of $250 (see prices and feesS).

This card lacks one feature we’ve come to expect from a hotel credit card: a free night each year on your account anniversary, which might make you wonder if it offers enough ongoing benefits to make the annual fee worth paying year after year.

It is worth noting that the recommendation credit score because this card is 670+ and has some of the same application restrictions as other Bonvoy cards. But if you qualify, let’s dig deeper to decide if the Amex Marriott Bonvoy Bevy card deserves a spot in your wallet.

Based on TPG August 2024 valuation Marriott points are worth 0.85 cents each, so 155,000 points are worth $1,318. This is close to best deal ever We have seen this card and it is worth considering if you have been eyeing it for a while.

Where Bonvoy Bevy Amex The most outstanding point is the benefits it brings:

  • Marriott Gold Elite Status: Primary cardholders receive free Marriott Gold Status as long as they keep the card. TPG appreciates Marriott’s Gold status for $805 a year. While these perks have some value, it’s disappointing not to see free night awards automatically awarded on your annual card account anniversary and other premium perks like cash back for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee.

Cardholders will enjoy 6 Marriott Bonvoy Points for every dollar on eligible purchases at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels, 4 points per dollar on the first $15,000 in purchases per year at restaurants worldwide and U.S. supermarkets (then 2 points per dollar after this limit is reached), and 2 points per dollar on other eligible purchases.

TPG Valuation Marriott Bonvoy points are pegged at 0.85 cents per point. This means your return on spending will be 5.1% (purchases earn 6 points per dollar), 3.4% (purchases earn 4 points per dollar), or 1.7% (other purchases earn 2 points per dollar).

Redeem Points on Bonvoy Bevy Amex

There are many profitable ways to redeem your Marriott Bonvoy points. The most obvious and valuable reward is the free stay. With the ability to book over 8,000 properties across 30 brands in nearly 140 countries, you have plenty of options.

In addition to hotel stays, you can transfer your Bonvoy points to airline partners, use them to pay for flights, car rentals, and cruises, or redeem them for merchandise and gift cards.
