‘Lost In Random: The Eternal Die’ Revealed to Be a Roguelite Action Game
Publisher Thunderful has revealed Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, a roguelite action game that serves as a sequel to the critically acclaimed action-adventure title, Lost in randomness.
Currently scheduled for release in 2025, you’ll play as Aleksandra, formerly the Random Queen, as she navigates a randomly generated challenge to escape ‘Eternal Die.’ You’ll face a series of giant chess pieces and giant board games on your quest, and you’ll have to collect a series of treasures to increase your chances of survival.
Admittedly, the move to a roguelike genre left us feeling a little nervous after the original game’s singular vision, but there’s no denying that The Eternal Die retains its quirky visual style and aesthetic. We’re looking forward to seeing more gameplay in the coming months to allay some of our initial concerns, but we’re also eager to dive back into the world of Lost in Random.
Let’s take a look at the key features:
– Random run: Each run is a unique combination of opportunities, offering unexpected twists, challenges, and rewards. Adapt, strategize, and embrace chaos as you navigate ever-changing landscapes.
– Master the game of chance: Hone your skills in a mysterious prison, ruled by luck and probability, and deal with your enemies using dice rolls, split-second decisions, and sometimes a little luck. Whether it’s rolling the dice with Fortune, evading danger, or facing it head-on, your ability to master chance will determine your fate.
– Board game inspired dungeon: Explore dangerous dungeons designed by Mare, The Knight, and discover themed rooms based on classic board games, overcome challenge rooms, and uncover secrets as you explore Eternal Die.
What do you think of Lost in Random: The Eternal Die so far? Do you like the approach, or do you prefer a continuation of the gameplay in the original title? Let us know.
