After one of the better ad campaigns we can remember in a while, Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club is coming to Switch tomorrow (August 29).

The three-part free demo is now available on the Switch eShop, but as the all-important release date approaches, we can start to get an idea of ​​what the full release will be like in our first review from Famitsu Magazine got it. The result? Not too bad, but not great either.

Shared by Ryokutya2089 (through Gemstone), the Japanese publication has awarded the latest mystery work published by Nintendo 31/40with four critics giving the game 8/8/8/7 out of 10. All eight of those scores paint a promising picture, even if the overall score may be a bit lower than we’d expect.

Emio isn’t the only Switch title in Famitsu’s review this week. Japan exclusive natsuno-kanata – after summer And Toroidal: Waiting for Spring get 32/40 (8/8/9/7) and 33/40 (9/8/9/7) respectively. Rhythm Game Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost brought home 28/40 (6/8/7/7) and Spring Witch R awarded 31/40 (8/8/8/7).
