Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Socials Updated With 25th Anniversary Banner
The Professional skateboarder Tony Hawk The film celebrates its 25th anniversary this month, and while there hasn’t been much discussion about the milestone, social media channels devoted to the film have now sparked some online discussion.
Activision’s official social media accounts for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater on ‘X’ have been updated with a new banner and logo to mark the 25th anniversary of the long-running skateboarding series. The copyright also appears to be marked with a ‘2024’ date, which has led to further speculation.
The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series began on the PlayStation in 1999 (with an N64 version the following year) and has spawned numerous sequels, spin-offs, and even a few Nintendo exclusives over the years. Most recently, fans got a resurgence of the original two games in 2020, with the same package (Professional Skater Tony Hawk 1 + 2) will finally come to Switch in 2021.
Of course, this small update follows the 2022 news about Activision is reportedly canceling the remakes of the third and fourth games. after Vicarious Visions was absorbed by Blizzard. In other words, this may not necessarily lead to anything, but if there are any major developments, we’ll let you know.
