Yu Yu Hakusho’s new art features them walking in the park

The official account for Yu Yu Hakusho cartoon posted some new artwork to celebrate fall. It depicts the main characters walking through a park.

Yusuke and Keiko were walking at the front of the group, Keiko was talking to Yusuke about something and Yusuke didn’t even bother to look at her. A little behind them were Yukina and Hiei. In a rather rare occurrence, Hiei was wearing clothes that looked like what a normal person would wear. Kuwabara was making heart eyes at Yukina behind the two while Kurama was off to the side by himself. Since it was still early fall, they weren’t wrapped up much and the girls were wearing dresses and long skirts that looked like they were for spring.

Yu Yu Hakusho is a Japanese manga and anime series by Yoshihiro Togashi, and the original series aired from 1990 to 1994. There is also an anime adaptation for it (including an OVA in 2018) and a live action adaptation on Netflix. The series is very popular and is one of the best-selling manga series of all time.

The series follows Yusuke Urameshi, a teenage delinquent who died after saving a child from a truck. Since Underworld did not expect Yusuke to do such a heroic act, they were unprepared for him and so resurrected him on the condition that he work for Spirit World as a detective. The series starts out fairly episodic, as it follows Yusuke through his various cases, before focusing more on combat with the Dark Tournament Arc and Chapter Black Arc.

Yu Yu Hakusho available on Crunchyroll. For manga, Intuitive has licensed the English version.
