Manga Summer Hikaru Died Volume 4 Merge Characters

So many previous episodes belong to The Summer Hikaru Died Manga is about character development and relationships. The first one sets up the premise and really helps us understand Yoshiki as he grieves for Hikaru and comes to understand “Hikaru”. episode two To solve the problem he had to accept the situation and accept what was happening. part three starts to ramp up the tension and danger. However, what’s great about episode 4 of The Summer Hikaru Died Now that we know all of this and are getting used to it, Mokumokuren can finally use the manga to start giving us answers and connecting the characters together.

Editor’s Note: There will be some minor spoilers for part of episode 4. The Summer Hikaru Died comic.

In all the episodes leading up to episode 4 of The Summer Hikaru Died manga, we have seen characters discuss or allude to the role that the Indou family played in the Kubitachi Mountains. We know that the original Hikaru died while on this mission. However, “Hikaru” does not know what it is, Kouhei Indou is dead, and Hikaru’s grandfather does not seem to remember. This arc begins with the two realizing that discovering what that job is and the truth about their hometown may also lead to understanding what “Hikaru” is and helping things flows down from the mountain and causes impurities.

Honestly, I like the fact that we now see Yoshiki and “Hikaru” coming together for a common goal. There is a greater sense of acceptance of who “Hikaru” is and what is going on, and a final decision to stop reacting or trying to ignore things. They are facing it head on and are willing to accept what that knowledge might mean for them. While this doesn’t mean immediate answers for them or us, it does provide some intriguing hints. For example, the relationship between their town of Kubitachi and some of the other towns in the area is fascinating and gives a hint of what is going on.

Likewise, this investigation is serving as the impetus for the characters to interact in The Summer Hikaru Died. After the events of Episode 3Asako is more telling in her interactions with Yoshiki. We get a better sense of what she can do and what happened, especially when another incident occurs near the school. We see Tanaka, the investigator summoned to Kubitachi, meet and interact with Yoshiki. His “hound dog” reactions to what’s going on and the people he meets provide more insight into his intentions. I was worried about what his appearance might mean to Yoshiki and “Hikaru,” and now these even more explicit interactions make it all the better.

But perhaps the best part is seeing the housewife being able to tell that Yoshiki is dealing with something supernatural when she meets “Hikaru”. Because not only do we get to know him better, but we also get to know her past and how she might be involved in events as they unfold. We get to know why she is so aware of the impurity and supernatural entities around her. Plus, it’s interesting to see someone who looks so typical and motherly is such a strong and imposing individual.

We don’t have all the answers as of episode 4. The Summer Hikaru Died It’s almost over, but everything that comes out as we watch Yoshiki and “Hikaru” interact with the other characters is incredibly rewarding. For the first time since the series began, I felt like I finally had some answers. By the time I reached the end, I felt confident about who Yoshiki could and couldn’t trust for the first time. In fact, even though “Hikaru” is still quite mysterious, I also felt like maybe I could trust that character a little more.

Episodes 1-4 of The Summer Hikaru Died now available through Yen Pressand there is no release date for episode 5 yet.
