A mother of four was found guilty after her four sons died in a house fire


A court has convicted a woman over the charges cause deaths of her four young children in a house fire in London. Deveca rose30 years old, appeared in court on (October 3) for leaving her twin sons home alone while she was supposed to go shopping on December 16, 2021.

Firefighters found two twins Leyton And Logan Hoath3, and Kyson And Bryson Hoath4 years old, unconscious in upstairs bedroom.

A person noticed the house on fire after 7pm and alerted a neighbor, who kicked in the front door to reach the children. EVERYBODY reported that the fire may have started in the living room on the ground floor due to a candle or a burning signature.

According to BBCFour children ran upstairs to call for help but could not get out in time, leading to their death.

In a police statement, Deveca claimed that she met a woman named Jade a few days before the incident, who was said to be the guardian of her children. On the night of the incident, Rose allegedly tried to call “Jade” in front of police using the same phone number as her own. However, call data from Rose’s cell phone revealed no contact details for the woman named “Jade,” as PEOPLE explains. Furthermore, authorities have yet to locate Jade and there is no trace of her relationship with Deveca.

CCTV footage obtained by the police confirmed that Deveca had also left the house alone the day before the incident. Additionally, the Times noted that five months before the fire, social workers determined the family needed assistance, but Deveca refused to get involved.

Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend of the Met’s Specialized Crime Command said that Deveca Rose should have been the protector of the four boys.

DCI Townsend added: “If she had been in the house when the fire started, she might have been able to put it out or at least get the children to safety.”

Authorities released Rose on bail on October 3 and she will return to court for sentencing on November 15.
