A New Villain Show Will Debut at Disney World in 2025
Something evil is coming to… Disney’s Hollywood Studios next summer.
On Tuesday, Disney announced that a brand new live show will be held at the Sunset Boulevard area of Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World.
According to Disney Parks BlogThis magical and captivating new show will take visitors to the “mysterious, reflective kingdom of the Magic Mirror”, the mystical object made famous in “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
The show will feature dozens of Disney’s most devious villains and appearances by bad guys like Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent as they break through the Magic Mirror and take to the stage to perform live.
The news comes just weeks after Disney announced in D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event That preparation is already underway for an entire land dedicated to Disney’s villains at the Magic Kingdom. It will be years before anyone sets foot in this nightmarish new land, but Disney is giving fans a taste of what’s to come with a villain-themed show at Hollywood Studios next summer.

The show will be held inside the Sunset Showcase Theater behind the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. The theater is currently home to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, a stage show featuring an animated version of Lightning McQueen taking center stage. Several of his racing friends, including Tow Mater and Cruz Ramirez, can be seen cheering him on from video screens around the stage.
If you love Lightning McQueen Racing Academy, you have until October 7 to watch the show before it ends.
Parents especially love Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, which gives little ones something to do while older kids and adults ride the nearby Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster or Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. But don’t worry: This stage show has no height requirement and can still be fun for little ones, with music from Disney favorites like “101 Dalmatians,” “Aladdin” and “Peter Pan.”
