After a major renovation, W Hollywood has now reopened


It’s a new day at one of W Hotels’ most popular properties in the brand’s network.

This week, W Hollywood revealed the results of a renovation that brings the lifestyle hotel to its West Coast status. The renovation is part of broader overhaul across the entire W Hotels brand to restore the “wow” factor that critics talk about – and even Marriott leaders admitted – has lost its sense of fun over the past decade.

“One of the things I’m probably most excited about is W, which is one of the brands I probably knew the least about before acquiring Starwood,” Marriott CEO Anthony Capuano told TPG earlier this year. “But the direction and momentum we have with W is quite remarkable.”

Guests booking rooms at W Hollywood can expect a new look intended to evoke the atmosphere of a home nestled in the Hollywood Hills (visible from many guest rooms and suites at W Hollywood).
