Akbar V Reacts to Latto Calling Lil’ Kim the GOAT Instead of Nicki Minaj

OH! Akbar V riding for Nicki Minaj via social media on Wednesday (August 14). It appears that Akbar watched a video latte name Lil’ Kim is her pick for the GOAT (greatest female rapper of all time). Well, it’s safe to say that AK is NOT here to hear the opinion of the ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’ rapper!

Here is what Akbar V said about Latto’s choice

On X (formerly Twitter), Akbar reacting to TMZ headline on Latto’s pick. While the reality star agrees that Lil’ Kim is influential, she argues that Minaj is the current and true answer to the GOAT question.

“Lil Kim is the Goat… her and Foxy have both run and done so much for us, so have the female rappers, Eve, Missy Elliot, etc, but when there’s a deadlock, and no label wants to sign female rappers? Who came and opened the door and had the longest run in history, Nicki Minaj…” Akbar V wrote.

The former reality TV star added, “…Let’s not say Kim is the Goat of all time because no one can steal that from @NICKIMINAJ.” Furthermore, Akbar V begged Latto “Give that annoying girl flowers when they’re due, you two don’t need to fight but keep the same pile.”

AK’s X post seems to be hinting at war of words Latto and Nicki Minaj exchanged insults in October 2022. The two rappers exchanged insults after Minaj referenced Latto’s song ‘Big Energy’ while criticizing the way the Recording Academy classifies rap and pop songs. Neither woman has publicly reconciled after their spat.

IN a follow up postAkbar V also credited MC Lyte and Queen Latifah as entertainers who “did a lot for female rappers.”

Latto SAID THIS About Lil’ Kim

To put things into perspective, Latto picked Lil’ Kim as the GOAT in a conversation with her sister Brooklyn for Complex. During the conversation, Brokklyn called her sister the GOAT, while the ‘Big Mama’ rapper picked Kim.

“My female GOAT is definitely Lil’ Kim. Fashion icon. Timeless music, timeless look. Like forever is going to be a staple not only in rap, but in female rap,” Latto shared. “And she’s the real GOAT, because she’s a queen, like in real life she’s a fucking queen. I love that bitch.”

While Akbar V wasn’t feeling Latto’s choice, the ‘Put It On DA Floor’ rapper seemed to take Nicki Minaj her flowers this year. In April, she gave an interview to Atlanta radio station 107.9 about her top three female rappers, living or dead.

Once again, she mentioned Lil’ Kim first, followed by Left Eye, and finally “shawty.” Fans were quick to speculate that “shawty” was Nicki Minaj.
