Alaska lounge membership costs will increase in 2025
It’s no secret that if you’re a frequent flyer, airport lounges can significantly improve your travel experience.
With free food, drinks and the chance to relax in stylish comfort while waiting for your flight, Alaska Airlines lounge can make for a quieter and more luxurious pre-flight experience than spending hours trying to arrange food on a chair next to the gate. However, this type of VIP experience doesn’t come without a price – and now you’ll have to pay more to access Alaska Lounges.
If you fly Alaska Airlines If you’re a regular or interested in using a lounge through your carrier when you fly, here’s what you need to know about recent price increases.
New prices for the Alaska Lounge
“From time to time, we need to adjust pricing to keep quality at a level our members appreciate and keep up with the improvements we are making,” an Alaska Airlines spokesperson told TPG. .
To this end, on February 1, 2025, the Alaska Lounge annual membership fee will increase from $550 to $595 and the Alaska Lounge+ membership fee will increase from $750 to $795.
A standard Alaska Lounge membership includes access to nine Alaska Lounges, incl Luxurious new lounge at SFO. An Alaska Lounge+ membership expands your access to lounges operated by Alaska Airlines as well as nearly 90 partner lounges, including those operated by American Airlines and Qantas.
Becoming a member also gives you other perks. Since Alaska acquired Hawaiian Airlines in 2024, Lounge members can use the Alaska Lounge when flying on Hawaii flights. Additionally, Alaska Lounge members can bring their immediate family members or up to two guests into the lounge at no additional charge.
However, while this $45 price increase for both memberships is less than a 10% increase, it’s important to note that this is the third price increase in as many years.
How to save money with an Alaska Lounge membership
Meets standards Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® Credit Card owners can get $100 off a Lounge+ membership when they purchase one with the card. Starting in 2025, members with Alaska MVP elite status will be able to choose perks at key moments, which could include a $100 discount on their Lounge or Lounge+ membership as soon as they Earn 30,000 elite qualifying miles. It’s worth noting that once you achieve MVP Gold 100K or Oneworld Emerald status, you can choose a full Alaska Lounge+ membership as your loyalty perk. (However, these two discounts cannot be combined.)

And if you’re a first-class passenger with a paid or award ticket on flights 2,000 miles or more, you’ll automatically have access to the Alaska Lounge at no additional charge.
Bottom line
If you want to enjoy VIP benefits before flying Alaska Airlines, you’ll have to dig a little deeper in 2025, when Alaska Lounge access prices will increase. However, there are some ways to offset the costs.
