“All you need is an email address and a credit card”: Trump pauses campaign work to film commercial for digital trading cards, drops controversial lawsuit
Donald Trump is a serious presidential candidate who has absolutely no shortage of money, and if the video he posted on social media Tuesday morning makes you think otherwise, that’s your fault.

Yes, that’s Trump, hoping to win the race for leader of the free world, telling his supporters about an exciting opportunity to buy “Trump digital trading cards” featuring illustrations of the candidate with a halo over his head, wearing boxing gloves, praying (?) in front of another illustration of himself, holding a giant bitcoin, and more. Any of the cards can be yours for the incredibly low price of $99. Worried about how complicated it will be to buy these pieces of “American history”? Don’t worry. “It’s really easy to buy,” Trump told his audience. “All you need is an email address and a credit card or cryptocurrency.” (And don’t worry about scam!)
But wait: You haven’t even heard the best part. Not only do you get a physical trading card (for every 15 digital cards purchased), but you also get “an authentic piece” of the suit Trump wore during his debate with Joe Biden. “People call it my knockout suit,” he asserted. “I don’t know about that but that’s why they call it that,” he said, not for the first time. “So we’ll cut the knockout suit and you’ll get a piece of it and we’ll randomly sign five of them, a real collector’s item. This is something to give to your family, your kids, your grandkids.”
Considering shelling out $7,425 plus tax for 75 trading cards? If you do, you’ll be invited to join Trump for a “glamorous dinner” at his club in Jupiter, Florida, which sounds like a poor man’s Mar-a-Lago, but never mind.
From Threat to Democracy report for duty, sir!
