Amex Platinum and Business Platinum shopping credits reset today

The start of a new year means new beginnings and new opportunities. That includes new starts for your American Express shopping credit and new opportunities to make purchases that may cost you $0 out of pocket.

Specifically, I am referring to annuals Credit Saks Fifth Avenue ABOVE American Express Platinum® Card and Dell shopping credit on American Express Business Platinum® Card. Pre-registration is required to receive these benefits.

Here’s how you can use your renewed shopping credit balance for next year.

Saks shopping credit on Amex Platinum

Amex Platinum Card offers an annual statement credit of up to $100 per calendar year for purchases from Saks Fifth Avenue. This is available when shopping online or in person and comes in the form of up to $50 credit from January to June and up to $50 credit from July to December each year.

To use this benefit and receive credit, you must pre-register your card through this direct registration link before making any purchases.

Make sure to accumulate this credit with online shopping portal to earn cash back rewards or miles. Also, keep an eye out for any sales or coupons Saks is offering, along with Amex offers.

If you frequently shop at Saks, this statement credit will come in handy. Even if not, you can easily find some items for no more than $50. When searching the sale section, you can specifically sort for items priced under $50.

Dell shopping credit on Amex Business Platinum

If you have Amex Business Platinum Cardyou can get max $400 statement credit on Dell purchases every calendar year. To qualify, the purchase must be made in the United States and you must pre-register to receive the benefit through this direct registration link to receive shopping credit.

This benefit is available in the form of up to $200 in statement credits from January to June and up to $200 in statement credits from July to December each year. And it doesn’t have to be a computer either. You can even Use your Dell credit to buy a new laptop bag, speaker, or gaming gift card.

Note, however, that this benefit is expected to end on June 30, 2025, unless extended or renewed by American Express.

Again, Use shopping portals to maximize these purchases by adding points, miles or cash back on purchases and statement credits you’ll receive from American Express.

Bottom line

A new year means your credit card’s annual credit may have reset. Among the more popular and easier-to-use options are Dell and Saks Fifth Avenue credits offered annually from American Express.

You’ll want to use up these statement credits no matter which card you have, as they are “use it or lose it” benefits that won’t carry over to the second half of the year.
