Dimoldenberg and Garfield’s date at the Chicken Shop had been preparing for a long time. The two did more than just flirt during their date at the chicken shop. Dimoldenberg asked the two-time Oscar winner when he would actually win the award. “Can I be honest with you? That whole thing meant something to me in the past and I thought I needed that, and then when I didn’t win a few times, I was like, ‘I guess maybe I should give up on the dream. that'” Garfield replied: “Maybe when you stop caring that’s when it’ll happen,” Dimoldenberg said.
She then tells Garfield that she has given up on the possibility of romance between them. “I deliberately gave up because then something unexpected would happen unexpectedly,” she said. And the surprise happened: earlier this week, Garfield was said to have break up with girlfriend, Dr. Kate Thomas. Oh well, maybe the whole “giving up” thing worked.
