Antony Blinken plays guitar in a basement bar during a trip to Kyiv
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken performed Neil Young’s Rockin’ in the Free World with a local band at a bar called Diktat during a surprise trip to Kyiv.
The song was released by Neil Young in 1989 after a scheduled performance in the Soviet Union was cancelled.
Before starting to play, Blinken told the audience: “You need to know, the United States is with you, a lot of people around the world are on your side and they are fighting, not just for a free Ukraine but also for a free world. And the free world is with you too.”
