Ari announced her departure from social networks

On Friday (October 11), Ari Lennox announced to fans that she plans to officially leave social networks. In my heart Instagram postThe ‘Pressure’ singer announced plans to delete her account on December 18, marking her two-year anniversary of sobriety.

“Hey ❤️ I’m planning a permanent transition away from social media. I don’t believe I will grow up and be happy as long as I have it. So my last social day will be December 18th, my 2 year anniversary of being sober. I will delete my FB, IG and TikTok forever,” Ari wrote.

Additionally, Ari shares how social media has affected her life and expressed that stepping away from digital platforms would be the best move for her mental health and overall well-being .

“I was in a very toxic relationship and dependent on these apps. To me, my happiness is more valuable than using these platforms for promotion. I truly believe I can be creative with marketing elsewhere. I’m so tired of being addicted to the Internet, gossip, attention, validation, and the desire to control and overshare. I just want to be free and whole,” the message continued.

Along with an update on her life, the ‘New Apartment’ singer reassured fans that they can still follow her on YouTube and watch her performances on stage. She also encouraged supporters to sign up for her website’s mailing list for updates on her upcoming album and tour.

Ari Lennox’s choice to leave social media comes just over a year after she celebrated seven months of sobriety in July 2023.

Like TSR before sharedThe 33-year-old musician marked the milestone in a now-deleted Instagram post. Back then, Lennox emphasized that the achievement represented “a lot of sober conversations” and “facing things head-on.” She also mentioned that she no longer feels like partying.

Furthermore, she also reflected on the difficult times she had with alcohol. Ari revealed that she has suffered from “night terrors” and “panic attacks” in the past. However, since getting sober, she has developed healthier ways to cope and notes that it feels “good to remember events as they happened.”

“I love waking up without feeling hungover or embarrassed. I love waking up without night terrors and alcohol-induced panic attacks. I really feel everything in this world and my coping mechanisms have only become healthier now. It’s good to recall events as they are happening. It was a pleasure to be there,” Ari said.
