Bare Butt Boxing Gets Bold on Switch Next Month

Remember that fun weird brawl? Bare Butt Boxing that was revealed at a MIX showcase return in 2022? Yes, after a period of early access, developer Tuatara Games has revealed that the pantyhose fighter will be entering the ring on Switch August 1st.

A name like Bare Butt Boxing tells you everything you need to know, honestly. That’s right, this is a boxing game where every character proudly shows off their behinds. A group of aliens travel to Earth and become obsessed with the wonderful world of boxing. Naturally, they want to try it out for themselves, but they miss a few important details. Like the need to wear pants.

If that sounds silly, it is. But it also sounds like it could be a bit of a joke. There are physical fighters to swing around, dangerous gates to push your opponents through, and of course power-ups to keep things interesting.

With both online and local multiplayer enabled, it looks like it could be only Silly enough to kill time on a Switch gaming night, right?

Here’s the official synopsis and some screenshots from Tuatara Games:

Colorful and mischievous aliens have landed on Earth to host uncensored boxing matches. Launch your opponents or giant beach balls into portals to earn points based on the game mode you are playing. Whoever has the most points at the end of the round wins! Go head-to-head with up to 3 friends locally, join online matches with 6 players, or battle bots in single player mode.

Punching isn’t the only key to victory: collect loot boxes to use special powers like the powerful vacuum and the super frenzy to turn the tide of battle. Watch out for stage hazards to avoid falling off the stage! The gusts of wind on the mountaintops and disappearing platforms at the Neon Disco Arcade can ruin your score if you’re not careful.

Every fighter has a rainbow of cosmetics. Dress them up in shiny new outfits, quirky fonts, and the latest alien boxing glove styles. These customization options are always available when playing locally, and can be unlocked with in-game coins to show off in online play!

Okay, so it might not be a contender. Smash Bros. Game for one of the consoles the best warriors coming soon, but the butt-fighting is definitely new — unless you’re a major Wario player.
