Best Teacher Deals (2024): Deals on School Supplies and Tech
We know how to teach It’s hard work, but we also know how important it is. And with so many costs to pay for supplies and resources, even small savings add up. We’ve compiled a list of discounts educators can take advantage of with their teacher certification so they can stress less about dry erase markers and less about the kid who learned to swear over the summer.

How to qualify
Retailers and service providers use a variety of authentication methods to verify whether someone is eligible for an instructor discount. Website Absolute ID verify teacher status and have a huge list of teacher perks. The same is true for My ID. If you are a homeschooler or childcare provider, you may still be eligible for some of these discounts and perks. Check with the listed rewards provider for more information and details.

Apple’s education discounts aren’t just for students. Teachers can also get about 10 percent off Apple hardware. The company often makes the deals more appealing in the fall, offering perks like a free pair of AirPods with purchase. Laptop or free Apple gift card with buy an iPad. In 2024, they have a $150 gift card giveaway along with discounts on services like AppleCare+.
Dell offers teachers a 10 percent discount through the Educator Marketplace. Dell University Store also offers a variety of discounts to anyone with a .edu email address.
Sign up for HP Education Discounts by verifying your .edu email address. HP says eligible shoppers can get up to 40 percent off select products.
Lenovo changes its discounts regularly, but students and teachers can usually get around 10 percent off. Lenovo has also offered bonuses in the past, like free Uber coupons when you spend a certain amount. Accounts are free and verified through ID Me.
Microsoft offers discounts of up to 10 percent on a variety of products, including Surface equipment and accessories. Parents, students and teachers are all eligible.
Samsung’s program is for students, parents, and educators, who can get up to 30 percent off laptops, tablets, phones, and other gadgets. Additional perks include discounted accessories with the purchase of select devices and bundle deals.
Discounts on classes and supplies
Verify your education status via ID Me at checkout to get 15 percent off your Happy Planner order. This company creates our favorite paper planners. Some are even designed especially with teachers in mind.
Educators and school staff can get 20 percent off a qualifying online purchase through August 24. These discounts vary from year to year, but there’s usually some kind of special savings event for teachers at the end of the summer. You’ll need to join Target Circle (which is free) to redeem the offer.
Show your teacher ID and this coupon to get 20 percent off your in-store purchase. This offer expires September 14.
Educators can always get a 15 percent discount at Michaels. In addition to buying regular arts and crafts supplies, this can be a good way to get a small discount on things like baskets, plastic drawers, desk accessories, and decorations.
Educators can join this program to ensure they always get the lowest possible prices at Blick. In-store purchases are matched to online prices, including shipping and handling. You’ll also get an additional 10 percent off your total order.
Teachers get 15 percent off at Joann. Discount card valid in-store and online.
You have to jump through a few hoops to get this discount. You’ll need a letter on official letterhead and you’ll have to make your purchase with a check or credit card in your school’s name. But you can save 10 to 20 percent.

Teachers can get 20 percent off books at Books-A-Million by signing up for the Free Educator Discount Program. You’ll also get free shipping when you order online and extra discounts during “educator events” throughout the year. You can sign up for the card in-store or online.
Half Price Books offers educators a 10 percent discount on in-store purchases year-round. Note that this discount does not apply to online purchases.
Meijer’s teacher appreciation sale runs through September 7. Show your ID at the customer service counter and you’ll be able to save money on school supplies, home office supplies, kids’ clothing, and more. There’s a long list of eligible items. on this page.
Teachers will get a free subscription to Vooks, which are essentially animated educational storybooks with accompanying text to read along with.
Teachers are eligible to receive a free book valued at $7 or less when they purchase four or more books at ThriftBooks. Eligibility and registration are completed via Vietnamese.

Music teachers can get 8 percent cash back through Sheet Music Plus’s cash back program.
Eduporium’s teacher discount program offers teachers discounts of up to 20 percent. The marketplace features STEM resources, such as 3D printers, drones, coding tools, and robotics equipment.
Website Teacher Wish List allows educators to create wish lists that can be filled by random donors. If there are items you would like to have but don’t necessarily need, this tool can be a good resource. Get Your Teaching On is another popular teacher wish list aggregator.
Free Resources for Teachers
Several websites compile free resources, from worksheets to posters to fonts. Check out Teachers pay teachers, CrayonsAnd Canva for example.
Software and service offers

Students, parents, and educators are eligible for a 50% discount on Ableton Live Intro, Standard, or Suite licenses, or can apply the same discount to Live bundled with Push. The software is particularly appealing to music creators, although if you’re considering uploading some cool projects to SoundCloud, it might be worth checking out, too. That’s it. Students and educators can use a valid .edu email address to get free access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams. There are free alternatives to Microsoft Office products, but if you still want to write your essay in Word, this is something you should consider.
Adobe Creative Cloud includes more than 20 apps, like Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Lightroom, and more. You also get 100GB of cloud storage. It’s normally $55 a month, but students and educators can get it for $20 a month. After a year, the $20 price increases to $30, but it’s still a good discount if you can’t access the Adobe apps you need any other way.

Designed specifically for video and music creators, this bundle costs $200. Considering that Final Cut Pro is sold separately for $300, this bundle is a worthwhile purchase if you plan on purchasing any of these software licenses individually.
Prezi offers a range of tools for perfecting digital presentations. It can integrate with Zoom and Google Meet, among other services. Prezi has two premium education plans for students and educators, priced at $4 or $8 per month (usually $7 or $19 per month).
Teachers can get up to $25 off select phone plans at Verizon when they verify eligibility through ID Me.
Educators can provide their employee ID to receive a 25 percent discount on wireless service through AT&T.
Discounts on magazine and newspaper subscriptions
We’re biased, but one year of unlimited print and digital access STRINGED It costs $5 a year for students and educators. Teachers can also save money on subscriptions. Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Atlantic, Bloomberg, New York Times, The Washington Postand more. If there is a magazine or newspaper that you regularly read, chances are you can get a discount on a subscription.
