Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition is finally out next week

Update [Thu 20th Jun, 2024 18:55 BST]:

Surprise! We’re right before the start of Limited Run Games’ 2024 Showcase, but Ubisoft accidentally let news of Beyond Good & Evil’s return slip early.

That’s right, the 20th Anniversary Edition will be available on all consoles—including the Switch—on June 25, 2024. Ubisoft has since deleted the tweet, but not before it was taken everywhere (thanks Wario64). However, the publisher has uploaded the trailer now.

Check out our original story below…

Original article [Wed 19th Jun, 2024 16:30 BST]:

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition was teased by Ubisoft in late 2023 — but not before accidentally released for a short time on Xbox – but Jade and company have been pretty quiet since then. Later this week, however, we’ll get an update on the re-release of this GameCube-era cult classic (thanks to our friends at push square!).

Official Beyond Good & Evil 2 (remember that game…?) The Twitter account announced that we would be getting some news about the Anniversary Edition during this Limited Run Game Showcase Thursday, June 20, at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST.

In addition, we also “tease” a little about what will happen. Thanks to Uncle Pey’j, Jade’s (main character) foster uncle and constant companion.

Another aspect that suggests a release is coming is Beyond Good & Evil HD has actually been removed from Xbox and Steam. Then we might get a release date. Keep stable!

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition is originally rated for Switch August 2023, but we haven’t heard anything official about the platform yet. However, we were expecting some news about the game, as last week, trophies arrived on PlayStation last week.

We were really expecting this to show up on Nintendo Direct yesterday, but it didn’t. Ubisoft also may have demonstrated this during SGF’s ‘Forward’ showcase. Oh, okay. We will be hosting a Limited Run Game launch.
