Details of Boosie’s arrest warrant in Texas
KXAN Boosie, whose birth name is Torence Hatch, is facing charges of theft of services ranging from $2,500 to $30,000, according to a report. The charges, filed on August 29, stem from an incident in June when Boosie allegedly failed to pay for several days of chauffeured services.
KXAN also revealed that the driver repeatedly asked Boosie and his manager for payment. The driver eventually sent the Louisiana rapper an $8,800 bill, which he claims he never received.
Apologist noted that someone reached out on June 5 to request a sprinter van to pick up the ‘Wipe Me Down’ host and others from the Austin airport that same day. The car service company did not receive an itinerary but ended up driving Boosie and his companions to various locations and activities over three days.
AllHipHop Boosie added that he praised the driver’s service and shared a promotional video for the business on Instagram.
In response, the driver expressed gratitude and mentioned offering Boosie a “good price.” The ‘Set It Off’ artist then suggested that the company deduct the cost from the promotional video, and the driver reportedly agreed to “discuss a solution.”
However, the driver later told police that there was no situation where the promotional video would cover the full cost of the service. He added that he had never had such an agreement with any customer.
The driver also shared a screenshot of the service request message and mentioned that payment would be made in cash.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Boosie in connection with the incident on Friday (September 20) and he is due to appear in Travis County court on October 28.
