North America/Europe

More immediately recognizable to our readers, we’re sure, Mario Kart 64’s Western design has the main character front and center, with Wario, Bowser, and Donkey Kong racing behind. It’s a neat, animated look that really shows off what the game is about, and there’s no denying that the characters all look very realistic. cool.

Japan

Meanwhile, the Japanese version focuses solely on Mario, with the racing mascot in front of an image that looks like a tire, with the game’s complete roster labeled in different colors. The logo remains pretty much the same, albeit with some additional Japanese text, while the overall layout is quite bold and effective.
