Can I earn more than 1 free night with the Marriott Bonvoy credit card?
Even if you’re not a regular road warrior, Marriott Bonvoy credit card can be a great value proposition thanks to Annual free night certificate they provide. Many TPG employees even have one three Marriott cards for this exact reason.
While all cards with free night certification do annual feeyou won’t have too much trouble recouping that cost using a free night certificate. The exact value of these free night certificates varies a bit by card, but they can all offer great value.
The good news is that you’ll get one free night certificate for each Bonvoy card you hold. Unique Bonvoy personal credit card perks are limited to one per person account (as opposed to one per credit card) is the annual elite night credit. (However, keep in mind that you can get more elite night credits by owning a personal Marriott Bonvoy card and a business Marriott Bonvoy card.)

Which Marriott cards offer free night certificates?
Marriott Bonvoy There are currently three credit cards that offer free night certificates. These cards include:

This is important to note Marriott Bonvoy Bevy™ American Express® Card and Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Card allows cardholders to unlock a free night certificate worth up to 50,000 points per night after spending $15,000 in a calendar year. While it’s great that you can spend a free night with these cards, you’re better off opting for a Bonvoy card that automatically comes with a free night certificate. Some hotels have resort fees.

Although Marriott no longer uses a fixed award chart and instead uses dynamic pricingthere are plenty of hotel redemption options for under priced 35,000, 50,000 And 85,000 point one night.
If you own all three cards mentioned above, you’ll earn three free night certificates per year. I put a lot of value in these free night certificates and would happily pay the annual fees for multiple Bonvoy credit cards to continue receiving them.

Application restrictions
There are restrictions on certain cards in the Bonvoy line. So, before going ahead with your application, you should make sure that you are eligible. If you’re looking to stretch your wallet and get a few free hotel nights a year, there’s some good news and some bad news.
The bad news is that some potential candidates may not qualify for the bonus.
You will not be eligible for the bonus if you currently or previously held a Bonvoy Amex card or its predecessor (i.e. you cannot apply for Bonvoy Brilliant if you already had an SPG Luxury Amex before the name change). You are also not eligible if the following terms apply to you:
“Welcome Offer does not apply to applicants who (i) have or have had a Ritz-Carlton® Credit Card from JPMorgan or a JP Morgan Ritz-Carlton Rewards® Credit Card in the past 30 days, (ii) have received received a Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Credit Card from Chase, a Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card from Chase, or a Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card from Chase in the last 90 days or (iii) received a new Card Member reward or offer upgraded to a Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful™ Credit Card by Chase, Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card by Chase or Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card by Chase within the last 24 months.”
As for Chase, you won’t be eligible to participate Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card if you have opened five or more cards in the last 24 months from any publisher (due to Chase’s 5/24 rule). You will also not be eligible for the welcome offer if:
- You currently have or have owned any of the following cards within the past 30 days: Marriott Bonvoy® American Express® Card or The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card by American Express.
- You have applied for and been approved for any of the following cards within the last 90 days.
- You have received a new cardholder bonus or upgrade bonus for any of the following cards within the last 24 months: Marriott Bonvoy BusinessStarwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card by American Express, card Marriott Bonvoy is brilliantStarwood Preferred Guest® American Express premium card and Marriott Bonvoy Bevy.
Before applying for a new card, you should Double and triple check the rules to ensure eligibility and avoid waste hard credit pull.
Additionally, we must note that while you may not be eligible for the welcome bonus if you previously had the card, you can still apply for the card to receive a free night certificate.

Bottom line
Free night certificates earned on variety of Marriott Bonvoy credit cards worth at least a few hundred dollars, often more than you’d pay for the card’s annual fee. The good news is that you’ll earn one free night certificate for each qualifying card, but given the bonus eligibility rules, you should carefully review the small print before starting to apply for a new card.
