Cory Hardrict says he cried for a year after Tia Mowry’s divorce

When we were about to close National Men’s Health Month, Cory Hardrict is getting real about his emotional health after his divorce. Hardrict was married to actress Tia Mowry in the previous 14 years she filed to terminate their marriage in October 2022.

In the documents, the ‘Sisters’ star stated the reason for the breakup was “irreconcilable differences”. Court complete their paperwork over a year ago, in April 2023. The former couple has two children: a son named Cree and a daughter named Cairo.

Cory Hardrict shares his emotional difficulties after divorce

Cory spoke candidly about his feelings following his divorce at the American Black Film Festival earlier this month. According to PerfumeHardrict was speaking at a conference when the topic arose. The clip was shared by Hollywood Melanin Instagram shows the actor wearing a burnt orange suit on stage.

“It’s hard when you feel like you’re going through something alone and no one understands and no one is there for you,” Cory Hardrict said. “I cried myself to sleep every night for a year and a half.”

Additionally, Cory shared that his loved ones can testify that “his children and family are everything” to him. Therefore, after more than a decade of marriage and almost two years of marriage, Hardrict implied that the post-breakup period was painful for him. However, it seemed to show him “stronger [he] think [he] used to be.”

“By the grace of God, I’m still here and keep moving forward,” the actor added.

Note that Cory Hardrict previously disclosed That fraud was not a factor. And in June 2023, Tia Mowry offered additional context about why she filed for divorce.

She told Hello Beautiful that she’s been considering a divorce for about five years. While she loves her role as a wife, Mowry shared that tradition doesn’t allow for the “constant” nature of change.

“I love being a wife. But I understand that tradition can be a blessing and a curse. What I mean is that tradition doesn’t guarantee change, and change is constant,” Mowry shared.

After several deaths in her family, she entered therapy and began to question her peace and happiness. She eventually decided that choosing herself was best for her, Cree, and Cairo.

“Part of my decision is also for them. Because they saw their mother walking in the truth. I feel like it’s a great lesson for them because it’s not an easy decision. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make in my entire life.”
