If you are looking to book a cruise on this “wave season“, you can earn extra cash back or rewards points when you book a trip with select cruise lines using select Bank of America and American Express cards. Even better, these offers can stack It overlaps with seasonal value-adds and discounts that cruise lines already have running, so you’ll get more bang for your buck.
Currently, certain Bank of America cards are offering 15% cash back on purchases made directly with Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean or Silversea Cruises. Select American Express cards are offering 5 points per dollar spent on sailings booked with AmaWaterways, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, as well as cash back on Norwegian Cruise Line sailings.

American Express offers
Travelers looking to cruise with AmaWaterways or set sail with the luxury lines Oceania or Regent can earn an additional 5 points per dollar spent, on top of the points they normally earn, when they book directly with the cruise line and use your eligible Amex card. Or, if they want to try out one of NCL’s flashy new superships, they can earn a one-time $200 statement credit toward their booking.

While the maximum amount you can earn is only $150, that’s on top of any points, miles, or other cash back you earn on purchases.

If you choose not to pay for your entire cruise in full at the time of booking, these offers only apply to the first transaction, which is usually a deposit only. To maximize the amount of bonus you will receive, consider paying in full or paying a larger amount than the required deposit (usually around 250 USD per person, depending on the cruise line, with payment finally have to pay several months before departure).
