Dead body found on conveyor belt at recycling plant
New Jersey authorities are investigating after the body of a 35-year-old man was found Nicholas Brian Holsten found on a conveyor belt at a recycling plant.

According to NJ.comEmployees were “sorting materials” at the Republic Services recycling facility on September 4. At approximately 2:40 p.m., they reportedly discovered Holsten’s body “on a conveyor belt.”
Holsten’s identity was recently made public, with the outlet noting that he is believed to be a resident of Leesburg, New Jersey. Additionally, the 35-year-old obituary was announced by DeMarco Funeral Home.
“Nick was known for his adventurous spirit and sense of humor that always made people laugh,” the obituary read. “He will be remembered for his goofy personality, quirky pranks, and his genuine love of art. Nick loved to draw special pictures for those he loved. Nick loved music, often wearing headphones and listening to his favorite songs. As a child, Nick loved skateboarding and continued that passion throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of creativity, joy, and laughter.”
Additionally, the funeral home noted that Holsten was the father of a son named Caenaan.

According to EVERYBODYNew Jersey authorities have confirmed that Holsten was not an employee at the recycling facility. Additionally, authorities reportedly noted that the investigation into the 35-year-old’s death is still ongoing.
Furthermore, the newspaper noted that police do not rule out the possibility of criminal activity.
“…no additional information is being provided at this time,” authorities confirmed.
Holsten’s mother, Melanieshared a brief statement about his son and his death with Asbury Park Publishing House.
“He is a very thoughtful and loving person. He is an artist,” she said. “I will never know what really happened.”

Furthermore, at the time, authorities did not publicly identify the man. However, they did share details about his cause of death, briefly stating that he had suffered a medical emergency.
