Delta Air Lines announces eight new or expanded lounges for 2025

Last year was a big year for Delta Air Lines’ airport lounge portfolio. Although the carrier is technically just opening a new Sky Club — at the end of December, no less — it made waves with high-spending travelers by launching its first business-class-only facilities at three of its largest coastal hubs.

Delta plans to continue expanding in 2025, the airline said Tuesday, sharing new details about a fourth Delta One Lounge facility, along with seven new traditional Sky Clubs, Expand or renew your network.

You will find all the information about opening, developing and improving outposts below:

The fourth Delta One lounge

From mid-summer to early December of last year, Delta cut the ribbon on its first three Delta One Lounge facilities.

Today, you’ll find swanky lounges at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).

Later this spring, a fourth will be launched.

The airline said the Delta One Lounge planned for Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is expected to open in May.

At just under 11,000 square feet, this Delta One facility will be much smaller than the flagship JFK lounge. Instead, it will be about the same size as LAX, which opened in October.

Slated to open alongside the new Sky Club at SEA, you’ll find the new Delta One Lounge near Gate 11 at Concourse A.

The facility will include an outdoor terrace overlooking Mount Rainier, the carrier said Tuesday.

Each of the three Delta One Lounges open to date is distinct, boasting some of the most memorable dining, beverage offerings and amenities of any airline-branded facility in USA

It’s likely that Delta will aim to maintain that standard when it opens its second upscale club on the West Coast.

New Seattle Sky Club

As mentioned, this is more than just a Delta One Lounge coming to the heart of the Pacific Northwest.

Seattle will also get a second Sky Club, which will open as part of the same “complex” that houses the Delta One facility.

Delta Sky Club CEO Tim Genovese told me in a recent interview that the new 14,000-square-foot Sky Club will be located directly below the business-class-only outpost.

“It will be stacked,” Genovese said. It will have an upstairs for our Delta One, and then the Sky Club will be downstairs.”

Once again, mark your calendars for May for the opening of the dual lounge.

This Sky Club will be Delta’s second in Seattle – meaning the center will have a total of three Delta-branded lounges once these two new facilities open.

Salt Lake City has an even larger Sky Club

When plain opened the 28,000 square foot Sky Club at the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) hub in 2020, at the time the largest concourse in its network.

Now, the airline plans to upgrade that Concourse A club with a new, even larger outpost on SLC’s Concourse B.

Later this year, Delta plans to launch a 34,000-square-foot Sky Club that will also be among the largest in its network today (it will be slightly smaller than the Sky Club). Sky Club expands at New York’s LaGuardia Airport, not to mention the 40,000 square foot JFK Delta One Lounge).

Delta is aiming to open its new facility in Salt Lake City by the end of 2025 – specifically, between October and the end of the year.

1 new Atlanta Sky Club, 3 renovated clubs

For the first time in nine years, Delta will launch the all-new Sky Club at its Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) headquarters.

As part of the renovation of the airport’s Concourse D, Atlanta’s dominant airline will debut a new 23,000-square-foot club near Gate D16. It will be the first all-new Delta lounge at headquarters since 2016.

This outpost is expected to launch this spring.

Delta is also planning to upgrade its Sky Clubs in corridors A and C, the airline said.

Today, the airline operates nine Sky Clubs in its home city.

Missing from Delta’s 2025 lounge plans: any mention of the Delta One Lounge at its major hub.

Executives have teased the possibility of a more upscale facility there: “We are looking,” Delta lounge director Claude Roussel told me in October.

But it appears there are currently no such plans in place this year.

Philly expansion

Finally, Delta plans to expand its lounge footprint in its main competitor’s territory.

By the last three months of 2025, the carrier hopes to complete a 2,000-square-foot Sky Club expansion near the Terminal D/E connector at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).

With that announcement, it’s safe to say that 2025 will be a big year for Philly on the lounge front. American Airlines, which operates a fortress hub at PHL, has announced plans to open the Flagship lounge at the airport later this year.

Tighten access rules

For all the excitement about new and expanded lounges, it’s important to note that February will bring a Sky Club change that’s less than welcome for many Delta frequent flyers.

SkyMiles members with lounge access through an American Express credit card will be limited to 10 or 15 visits per calendar year, depending on the card.
