Deserted streets in Israeli border towns

Israel says it will do everything it can to push Hezbollah back from the border and return Israeli civilians to their homes in the north of the country.

Thousands of Israelis have left, living in hotels, kibbutz or with relatives.

The BBC’s Paul Adams was on the streets of the northern town of Kiryat Shmona as Hezbollah continued to fire rockets at buildings from Lebanon.
