Although unwelcome, the increase in ticket prices at Disneyland was almost as predictable as a fairy tale ending.

“This ticket price increase comes at a time when demand remains strong, which is reflected in Disneyland visitor numbers. The same goes for the entire Walt Disney Company. There is also a nominal increase to Disneyland’s Lightning Lane Extras. With Lightning Lane, Disneyland guests can skip the lines and use shorter lines to get more rides with less wait time.

The Lightning Lane Multi Pass grants guests skip-the-line access to most Disneyland attractions, but there are some high-demand attractions that require the purchase of a separate Lightning Lane Single Pass.

At Disneyland, you can purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass as an add-on to your vacation package, or you can purchase it on the day of your visit. You can only purchase the Lightning Lane Single Pass once you are already in the park on the day of your visit.

As of Wednesday, pre-arrival Lightning Lane Multi Pass prices will increase.

How to save money on Disneyland tickets

Buy from a trusted third-party ticket broker

You can often save money on Disneyland tickets by buying from legitimate third-party sellers like secret travel. When prices increase, they usually have an allotted amount of tickets that they can sell at the old price until they run out (usually a week or less). You can currently save up to $121 on Disneyland tickets by purchasing them through Undercover Tourist.

Take advantage of Disneyland’s deals on child tickets

Disneyland recently announced one Child ticket agreement Children ages 3 to 9 are allowed to visit for just $50 per day. These specially priced passes will go on sale starting October 22, 2024 and are eligible for tours from January 7 to March 20, 2025.

With price increases and no ticket deals, Disneyland child tickets can cost up to $196 for a one-day, one-park ticket or about $130 per day for a three-day, one-park-per-day ticket.

Compare single-day and multi-day ticket prices

You might think it’s always cheaper to buy a multi-day ticket if you plan to spend more than one day at Disneyland. Well, obviously we’re only making this point because that assumption is incorrect.

If you visit Disneyland during one of the park’s cheaper times when tickets start at $104 per day, you can pay less by buying multiple single-day tickets instead of multi-day tickets. For example, if you visit for two days in early November with a Level 0 ticket, you’ll pay $208 per person. If you buy a two-day ticket for the same day, your cost will go up to 330 USD per person.

The moral of the story here is that you should check the price to determine whether you should buy a single-day or multi-day ticket.

Be flexible with your days off

“There are ways for guests who prioritize budget vacations over vacations to have the most optimal time to save money on Disneyland tickets. If you have the flexibility to travel on weekdays during less popular months more variable during the year or in response to Disney promotions, you’ll be rewarded with lower regional ticket prices and hotel deals,” Doyle said.

“The lowest priced 1-day ticket hasn’t increased in price since 2019. It’s available.” 34 days a year“, he added. If you can time your vacation around these days, you can still save.

If you can visit in January, February or early March before spring break begins, you’ll pay less than if you wait for school break. Likewise, if you visit after early August when most schools reopen and before late September when Disneyland’s Halloween festivities begin, you’ll enjoy lower prices and fewer crowds . The same is true in mid-November and early December, as long as you avoid traveling during peak holiday periods.
