K. Surprise mustard dip with ‘Don’t Like Us’
According to The Shade Room, Kendrick Lamar shook the world when he released “Not Like Us” on May 4. K. Dot dropped The diss record was produced by DJ Mustard just hours after dropping its third track, ‘Meet The Grahams.’
Now that the chart-topping song has achieved significant success, DJ Mustard is sharing how he first heard about the song. In an interview with Billboard, Mustard reveals 5 facts about ‘Not Like Us’. The Los Angeles-born record producer also stated that he was not in the studio with Kendrick while creating it.
“I hear the song when everyone else hears it. I’ve never heard it before. I wasn’t in the studio with him. I’ve never heard that song. So when everyone else heard it, I heard it too.”
While discussing the hit, the Grammy-nominated DJ also mentioned that he didn’t sample Nas’ “Ether” beat and that it only took him 30 minutes to create the beat.

Kendrick ends June 17 with a ‘Pop Out’ concert
As The Shade Room previously reported, Kendrick Lamar shut down the West Coast with his ‘Pop Out’ concert on June 17. The award-winning rapper arrived in LA as he headlined a three-hour set at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
K.Dot shook the whole city when he appeared on stage along with some surprise guests, including Tyler the Creator, Dom Kennedy, Ty Dolla $ign, Roddy is rich, YG, Dr. Dre, Tommy the Clown, Blxst, Student Q, Jay Rock, Steve LacyAnd Ab-Soul.
Of course, Mustard was present for this iconic moment! He joined Kendrick on stage along with other celebrities and athletes while performing “Not Like Us” five times in a row. King Kenny also took time to acknowledge the loss of the Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and rappers Nipsey Hussle.
