Here’s what the former professional soccer player shared about his nail care preferences
Earlier this year, Wade sat down for an exclusive interview with High-class. In a conversation with the news agency, the 42-year-old explained that he has been painting his nails since 2007, according to US Weekly.
“I’ve been wearing nail polish since 2007,” he reportedly explained. “I always knew that was what I wanted to do: I wanted to be one of those guys who dresses well, smells good, is always clean-shaven, and all that stuff.”
Wade reportedly spoke candidly about NBA player LeBron James’ reaction to his pedicure. Wade reportedly shared this in a 2011 interview with GQ Magazine.
“Three years ago, I was like, ‘Man, I want to paint my toenails black,’” Wade told the outlet. “Then I went on vacation to the Bahamas with LeBron, and when he saw my toes, he was like, ‘There’s something really wrong with you.’”
Wade eventually explained that James later agreed to the idea. However, he added that he eventually became less concerned with other people’s opinions.
“But Bron ended up saying, ‘You know what? You’re crazy, but that’s just you,’” Wade continued. “When I first came into the league, I was trying to fit in. Now I don’t care.”
