Earn Medallion status with Delta Stays and Cars
Delta Air Lines returns with its Stay and Car promotion this year, offering Delta SkyMiles members another path to Earn medal-eligible dollars to achieve elite status.
Specifically, you will earn 1 MQD per base dollar spent book hotel room And Book a car rental booked between May 13 and June 24 through the Travel Extras portal to complete the trip by September 8.
Here are the details.
Earn MQD from hotels
During this promotional period, you will earn 1 MQD per dollar spent on hotel stays booked through Delta’s travel portal. This is in addition to the 2 redeemable SkyMiles you typically earn per dollar spent at most hotels.
The terms of the promotion state that you can only earn on the base price of the hotel room before taxes and fees at the time of booking.
For example, here’s how much you could earn for a two-night stay in June at Hotel 1 in West Hollywood:

Earn MQD when renting a car
Additionally, you’ll earn 1 MQD for every dollar spent above the base car rental price for each completed booking.
You won’t earn MQDs for fees such as taxes, one-way car rental fees, fuel services, or tolls.

For example, here’s how much you’ll earn on a one-week rental next week at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK):

Note that Elite members earn more miles with Hertzalthough this will not affect the amount of MQDs you earn.
As a Delta frequent flyer, you’ll earn:
- 4 miles per dollar spent as a basic member
- 5 miles per dollar spent as a Silver Medal
- 6 miles per dollar spent like a Gold Medal
- 7 miles per dollar spent as a Platinum Medallion
- 8 miles per dollar spent as a Diamond Medallion
For Dollar and Thrifty bookings, all SkyMiles members earn 4 miles per dollar; Members earn 2 miles per dollar for all Alamo, EnterpriseNation, AvisSet your budget in advance and pay nothing.
Important terms
Read the full terms and conditions of this promotion This. One of the most important things to note is that you can only earn MQDs if your name appears on the credit card you used to pay. Delta will not credit MQDs if the full name on the credit card does not match the information on the SkyMiles account.
Once you complete your trip, it can take up to eight weeks to receive your MQD.
