FFXIV Automated House Demolition Timer continues in July 2024
Japan’s servers Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) will continue to demolish houses automatically in July 16, 2024 along with patch 7.01. Square Enix initially discontinued timers in January 2024.
Again, Square Enix ban automated residential demolition timer on January 4, 2024. This is a response to the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024. The earthquake—magnitude 7, 6 M and caused a 4.2 m high tsunami—resulting in an earthquake that caused heavy loss of life and destroyed homes. To prevent victims or others affected by the disaster from losing their virtual homes, Square Enix has paused the timer to give them time to get back in shape.
In certain cases, the timer may have restarted prematurely for some people. If anyone (from free company) enters free company land or private land at least once, the timer is reset. Otherwise, it will continue from the remaining time. However, Square Enix warns that the timer will restart during maintenance. So if some people actually cut it, they could log in and see their house is gone. Square Enix strongly recommends that players who receive a warning email about their house log in before maintenance so they don’t lose it.
Final Fantasy XIV To be available on PS4, PS5, Windows PC and macOS. Automatic house destruction timer in Japan’s servers FFXIV will resume on July 16, 2024.
