Final Fantasy & Persona Voice Actor Is Making a Game That Lets You Date People
Team17 and Sassy Chap Games have announced a brand new video game that lets you date 100 different objects. Yes, we said objects, that’s not a typo.
Date everything is coming soon to all platforms, including the Switch. Described as an open-world dating simulator, your character is given a pair of magical glasses that bring their entire home to life — somehow making you fall in love with household items like computers, laundry baskets, and clear pet.
Sassy Chap Games is a new name on the scene, but this studio has some familiar names behind it. Founded by voice actors Ray Chase (Noctis, Final Fantasy XV; Roy, Fire series; Alfonse, Dragalia is gone), Robbie Daymond (Akechi, Character 5; Hubert, Fire Emblem: Three Houses; Bottle, Hi-Fi in a hurry), Max Mittleman (Ryuiji, Persona 5; Red XIII, The Rebirth of Final Fantasy VII; Saitama, One Punch Man) and Amanda Hufford (Haniyyah in Genshin ImpactBorn in Ink), this is the team’s first video game and they make no secret of their ambition and humor here.
Each dateable object has three different endings you can achieve — one as a lover, one as a friend, and one as a foe. And obviously there are some key paths that tie everything together. See, Boyfriend Dungeon lets us date weapons — the toaster is clear next step right?
Here is a summary of the game’s features from publisher Team17:
Date everything! featured:
– 100 fully voiced dateable characters to keep players hooked.
– Branching dialogue leads to multiple endings for each character.
– Over 4 hours of music with each dateable character having their own theme.
– Over 11,000 hand drawn images.
– 1.2 million words and 70,000 voices.
– Fully interactive 3D world that changes based on choices made during gameplay.
– Full voice acting with a familiar voice cast, including Felicia Day (Supernatural, The Magicians), Johnny Yong Bosch (Bleach, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers) Grey DeLisle (Scooby-Doo, The Last Airbender) and many more!
If you haven’t guessed yet, it’s not like you’re actually going on a date with a table or anything—they’re all shaped like people. And you need “Dateviator” glasses to actually do this. So don’t try this at home.
Date Everything doesn’t have a release date yet, but we do know it’ll be available on all platforms. Let us know if this catches your eye in the comments..
