Flau’jae releases new album

Based on TMZ, Johnson released her new album, ‘Best of Both Worlds’ on Friday, June 28. The newspaper reported that the nine-track album features collaborations with rapper Wayne, NLE Choppa, And 2Rare.

Flau’jae’s new single with Lil Wayne, ‘Came Out A Beast,’ marks their first collaboration. Combination reported that the basketball star and rap legend rapped about Dolla Baby’s product, talking about embracing beast mode and their origins.

In an interview with Complex, the athlete expressed her gratitude for working with Wayne, revealing how the collaboration pushed her to improve her rap skills.

“Working with Lil Wayne on ‘Came Out a Beast’ was a surreal experience. His energy and talent took me to new heights.”

Each Fox 8 liveFlau’jae’s three-minute track with Lil Wayne references her national championship win and includes a tribute to her former teammates, Reese’s Angel.

TMZ revealed that the LSU quarterback had long wanted to collaborate with Wayne. She expressed interest in working on a song with the legendary musician last year and they finally met at the 2023 Essence Festival a few months later.

Flau’jae stated in Complex’s press release that her latest project combines both her rap and basketball skills.

“I love combining my two talents. ‘Best of Both Worlds’ shows that you don’t have to choose one path—you can excel in many areas. This project reflects who I am as a basketball player, a rapper, and someone who refuses to be put in a box. I hope my fans can feel the passion and dedication I put into each song.” Flau’jae said.

Details of Johnson’s rap career

Flau’jae has been fully involved in the music industry since 2019, releasing projects and signing with Roc Nation alongside her burgeoning basketball career. In May 2017, she released her first single, ‘Why Dey Hatin.’

However, in 2023, she officially made her mark in music by releasing her first EP, ‘4 My Fans.’ The project has thirteen tracks and features artists gojuny And Skoly.
