Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl gives birth to child “outside” of 21-year marriage


Dave Grohl is a dad again. The 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman took to Instagram to announce that he has welcomed a new baby girl—surprisingly, she’s not from his 21-year marriage to Who is Jordyn Blum?

“I have just become the father of a newborn baby girl, my illegitimate child,” Grohl wrote in his statement,“I intend to be a loving and supportive father to her. I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and gain their forgiveness. We are grateful for your concern for all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Grohl has been married to Blum since 2003. They have three daughters: Violet, 18; Harper, 15; and Ophelia, 10. The family appears together on the Grammy red carpet in 2023, days after Grohl accepted a lifetime achievement award on behalf of Nirvana from the Recording Academy. at the Special Merit Award.

Grohl was the drummer for the 1990s rock band Nirvana, then formed the Foo Fighters in 1994 as lead singer and guitarist; the group currently consists of guitarists Chris Shiflett, bass player Nate Mendel, keyboard player Rami Jaffee, Guitarist Pat Smear, and drummer Who is Josh Freese? (Grohl’s best friend and former Foo Fighters drummer, Taylor Hawkins, died March 2022.) Grohl has not shared any further information about his daughter.
