Google Gemini 1.5 Flash Launches Free for Users – Check Out Its Capabilities, Features and More
While many people laughed at the number of times Google said “AI” during the entire livestream, the company made some big announcements, including the introduction of its new AI model, Gemini 1.5 Flash. This is a new lightweight version of Gemini that is faster, smarter, and capable of performing complex tasks. Now, the company has finally announced the official rollout of Gemini 1.5 Flash with some big promises.

Gemini 1.5 Flash is now available to users
Google has finally announced the official release of its new Gemini 1.5 Flash AI model, which will be available in 230 countries worldwide and in 40 different languages. We can’t see the new AI model in the web version of Gemini yet, but it is expected to be rolled out soon. Gemini 1.5 Flash will be available for free to users, and they will get to enjoy the advanced power of Gemini 1.5 Flash along with major improvements and faster response times. “With Gemini 1.5 Flash, you’ll see across-the-board improvements in quality and latency, with notable improvements in image reasoning and understanding,” Google said.

The good news is that Google is addressing some of the issues with this new free AI model. The tech giant has highlighted the main issue it has faced since the launch of “Google Overview” as “AI illusion.” Now, with Gemini 1.5 Flash, Google promises to step up its efforts to reduce AI illusion and provide users with accurate facts and information from the web. Additionally, Google will introduce an event check feature to Gemini, which will provide users with links to resources. However, this feature will be limited to a few countries.

The only downside to the new Gemini AI model is that it still doesn’t allow you to upload files via Google Drive or your device. But Google also says it will be available to free users in the future. Plus, the company is also working on making Gemini available to teens, allowing them to use the tool for their school or college work.
