Google Photos launches a new “updates” page to track activity in shared albums


Google Photos is rolling out a new feature to enhance the way users track and interact with changes in their shared albums.

According to The Verge, the new ‘Updates’ section, currently rolling out on both Android and iOS, will allow users to easily update activity in shared albums and chats, ensuring an organized experience. more organized and seamless.

The ‘Update’ section replaces the old share button, which previously allowed users to share albums with others.

Now, according to The Verge, users will see a bell icon directing them to their recent notifications feed.

In addition to the ‘Updates’ section, users can now directly access their shared albums from the newly launched ‘Collections’ section.

This provides a central place to manage all albums, both personal and shared, making it easier to navigate through photos and collaborate with friends, family or colleagues.

While this feature is currently rolling out, availability may vary by region and device.

If you don’t see the ‘Updates’ section yet, the Photos team advises users to check back “in the coming weeks” as the feature continues to expand.
