Hyatt’s much-anticipated makeover is expected to debut later this year in one of Arizona’s most popular destinations.

The Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort, the result of a $115 million renovation of the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, will open its rebranded doors this fall. The resort, which will be Grand Hyatt’s first outpost in Arizona, will feature 496 guest rooms, as well as private casitas and suites. But the ultimate in luxury will be the Gainey House, a two-story, 2,450-square-foot private residence with a fully equipped chef’s kitchen and two bedrooms.

The rebranded Hyatt will also include six new culinary concepts developed in collaboration with celebrity chef Richard Blais. The 10-acre pool complex includes 10 pools, a sandy beach and a three-story waterslide. Those seeking tranquility can relax in the spa with hot tubs or visit the resort’s Spa Avania, which has 19 treatment rooms and a Himalayan salt room.

Outdoor enthusiasts will have plenty to do at the resort, which is set against the surrounding Sonoran Desert landscape. There are plenty of running and biking trails throughout the property, and guests can use complimentary bikes during their stay. Golfers can visit the nearby Gainey Ranch Golf Club, which also has tennis courts and a baseball field. While you can still check in to the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale while the renovations are completed in the coming weeks, the Grand Hyatt’s amenities will officially begin to open in early October.

The resort enhances Hyatt’s presence in Scottsdale, including Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows.

People waiting to use World of Hyatt Points at the new Grand Hyatt will be pleased to see more off-peak availability later this year at this Category 6 property, which means reward night rewards starting at 21,000 World of Hyatt points.
