Gudetama Plush appears in Build-a-Bear retail stores
Build-a-Bear has announced Gudetama, the newest luxury item in Sanrio’s collection, now available online and in retail stores. There is also an online-only promotion. If someone buys Gudetama alone or in a package, you also receive it 10% off on other Sanrio products and plushies.
This happened a few weeks after Gudetama launched it launched online at the Build-a-Bear website. He first appears there the day after Christmas 2024. At that time, you couldn’t get things for him without stuffing, so you had to use the stuffing option as well.
The update seems to suggest both $36 luxury and $51 Package options may be available in physical stores. If you visit the product pages, each one notes that they are available for delivery or “workshop” pickup. This could mean the $15 hoodie is also sold separately. Options for unpackaged delivery are also available.
As a reminder, the stuffed animal has two parts, the Gudetama and the egg white cushion. Be sure to check to see if you have both if you buy one at a retail store.
The luxurious Gudetama is available now in stores and online at Build-a-Bear and a temporary 10% off sale is in effect online.
