How to earn double Avios on British Airways flights to the US
If you are a British Airways Executive Club member in the UK, you have the opportunity to enjoy double Avios for flights from the UK to the US if you book travel by August 16, 2024 and plan to travel by June 25, 2025.
Once you sign up for the offer, you’ll get double the usual Avios for your flights in any class. But the offer isn’t limited to airfares — you can also earn double points on British Airways Holidays packages when you travel to the US.

Bonuses can be applied to up to 10 eligible flights per Executive Club member. After the flight, you will receive the bonus along with the base Avios you would have earned on your ticket. Those who have purchased a British Airways Holidays package will receive the base Avios within six weeks of booking completion and bonus Avios within eight weeks of booking completion.
How many Avios can I earn?
The total amount of Avios you can earn depends on the cash price of the flight.
Bonuses will be calculated based on the cost of the flight, seat and baggage fees, not on any taxes or surcharges incurred.
Here’s how much you can earn (depending on your status) for every £1 ($1.28) you spend.

If you book a trip on a British Airways holiday package, you’ll also earn 2 Avios for every pound spent on the entire package, in addition to the double Avios earned on your flight.
While flights typically earn Avios based on the fare, when you book a British Airways Holidays package, you’ll earn Avios according to the airline’s old award structure, which takes into account distance flown, fare class and your Executive Club status. Keep this in mind when planning your trip, as you can earn more Avios if you buy a British Airways Holidays package rather than just a single flight.

What counts as a qualifying flight or BA Holiday?
To be eligible for the reward, your flight must be operated by British Airways and have a British Airways flight number. Codeshare and partner flights are not eligible.
Eligible flights must depart from the UK and arrive at a destination in the US. They can be booked as a one-way, round-trip, multi-trip booking or as part of a qualifying British Airways Holidays package. Each individual flight segment will be eligible for the bonus.
For example, a one-way flight from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City would count as a qualifying flight. Similarly, a round-trip flight from London to New York and then back to London would count as two qualifying flights.
Qualifying British Airways holiday packages can be any combination of flight and hotel, flight and car, or flight, hotel and car. Flights or packages must be booked on the British Airways website. Hotel or car bookings made without flights will not qualify. Your booking will not qualify if made with an external website, including British Airways hotel partners.
