IHG’s free fourth reward night perk can provide significant value to IHG loyalists. This perk gives members the right to choose IHG credit card Points are not paid for every fourth night when redeeming IHG points for stays of four nights or more.

You qualify for this perk if you have one Premier IHG One Rewards credit card, IHG One Rewards travel credit card or IHG One Rewards Premier business credit card. In this post, we’ll look at IHG’s free fourth reward night perk, including how to book an award stay with this benefit.

What is the IHG Wednesday free reward night perk?

IHG’s free fourth night reward benefit lets you pay 0 points for every fourth night when you redeem IHG points for stays of four nights or more.

This benefit applies to award nights stayed in a standard room booked with points for four or more consecutive nights. Nights must be within the same stay at the same property. So you can’t combine separate bookings and benefit from the fourth free bonus night perk.

You can use the fourth free reward night benefit on unlimited stays annually, but this perk does not apply to paid stays or bookings with points and cash.

Who can use the IHG fourth reward night free benefit?

The following three IHG credit cards offer access to the valuable fourth free reward night perk: Premier IHG One Rewards credit card, IHG One Rewards travel credit card And IHG One Rewards Premier business credit card.

• Automatic IHG Platinum Elite status as long as you are an IHG Premier cardholder.
• One Free anniversary night on each account anniversary, valid for one night with a point redemption value of 40,000 points or less. You must use this night within 12 months of issuance, but you can add points from your IHG account to redeem your anniversary night for one that costs more than 40,000 points.
• Global entry, TSA Pre-Check or Nexus Credit reports registration fees of up to $100 every four years.

How to use IHG’s free fourth reward night benefit

It’s easy to use IHG’s free fourth reward night benefit. Log into IHG One Rewards account linked to your eligible IHG credit card to try it out. Once logged in, perform your awards night search as usual.

Since you’re logged in and searching for a four-night stay, you’ll see the bonus price go through and be replaced with a lower price. Winning odds indicate the average cost of a reward night excluding the free fourth reward night perk. The new bonus amount shows the average price per night after taking into account the fourth bonus night free benefit.

Click on the hotel you want and then select the room type. You will only receive the fourth reward night free benefit when paid in full with points.

Click the “i” next to “Reward Nights” for your desired room type to see the point cost per night.

During extended stays, you’ll receive a fourth reward night free. The example below shows the fourth and eighth nights without losing points for this eight-night stay at Holiday Inn Express Baruna Bali in Indonesia.
