How does AutoSlash find lower prices?

When compiling car rental options, AutoSlash takes into account the coupons and discounts that many major car rental companies offer. You can find some discounts on AutoSlash’s coupon page, which I’ll discuss below. AutoSlash also found other discounts, including the following membership, affiliate, loyalty program, and credit card discounts:

When you request a new quote or follow up on an existing booking through AutoSlash, you will provide information about your membership, affiliation, loyalty program, and credit card. Based on this information, AutoSlash shows you the cheapest car rental prices.

How to use AutoSlash to get discounted car rental quotes

If you’re looking to rent a car, AutoSlash is a great place to start. Start by going to AutoSlash website and fill out the form to receive a car rental quote. The first time I used AutoSlash, it took me less than two minutes to submit my request.

How to get a new AutoSlash quote

The first step is to choose whether you want to pick up your rental at the airport or near an address.

Then, enter whether you want to return the vehicle to its original location. If not, please specify the return airport or address near where you want to return the rental.

Next, enter the pick-up and drop-off date and time.

Then, select the required vehicle type from the drop-down list. Options will vary depending on your pickup location. If there is no preference, you can choose the “least expensive option”.

For international markets, AutoSlash also includes a drop-down menu to select transmission type: automatic only or manual OK.

Next, you have to check the box next to your credit card.

You should then check the box next to any memberships you currently have, loyalty programs you participate in, and store club memberships you have.

Finally, AutoSlash asks for your name, the country where your driver’s license was issued, and the email address where you want to receive a quote.

After submitting the form, you can edit any information you entered incorrectly.

How to place trades using AutoSlash

After submitting a request, I always receive a quote via email in less than 15 minutes. The subject line of the request above is “Discount on your 3/13 car rental in Denver.”

You’ll often see options that let you pay later with Priceline or AutoSlash, or pay now with AutoSlash. Your credit card will be charged for the pay now option, but you can usually cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time. In my experience, you will typically receive loyalty perks and earnings with your rental company if you choose to pay later and enter your loyalty information when booking . But don’t expect loyalty benefits and earnings when choosing to pay now with AutoSlash.

Rental prices change frequently, so you need to book quickly after receiving an email quote if you want accurate prices. If you wait too long, AutoSlash will offer to create a new quote when you click through to the email.

How to use AutoSlash to track rentals when prices drop

Once you make a reservation with free cancellation, visit AutoSlash and fill out the form to Monitor your rent for price drops. If you have an existing reservation in front of you, filling out the form will take less than a minute.

The price drop tracking form requests information about the reservation, including the rental company, your confirmation number, pick-up date, and the price you booked. You will also need to provide information about the memberships you hold and the credit cards you carry.

After submitting the form, you will receive an AutoSlash tracking confirmation email. You can click on the link in the email to set your preferences for the tracking service; For example, you can choose to only receive notifications if select car rental companies offer cheaper rates.

If you receive an email stating that AutoSlash has found a lower price, the booking process will be similar to what is described above for a new quote. When you book a lower priced option, make sure to do all of the following:

• Cancellation of a reservation has a higher price
• Cancel your current tracker (otherwise, AutoSlash will continue to send quotes when a lower price is found)
• Visit AutoSlash and fill out the form to track your new booking for discount information

There are no downsides to using tracking. If your original booking still has the cheapest price, you can rest easy knowing you’ve got a great deal. And if AutoSlash finds you a lower price, the few minutes you spent will be worth it.

Is AutoSlash legal?

I’ve used AutoSlash for dozens of rentals over seven years. This site is legit and has saved me hundreds of dollars on domestic and international car rentals.

Whenever I need to rent a car, I open four sites: AutoSlash, Avis, Budget and Enterprise. For years, I’ve used AutoSlash as a one-stop shop. But my current employer has company codes with Avis, Budget and Enterprise that employees can use for personal rentals.

I have found these company codes to be competitive in many US cities. I also found a discount code for Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card should be good (and is not currently supported by AutoSlash). So even though I search all four sites when renting a car, AutoSlash often doesn’t provide the best car rental quotes in the US
