Hyundai launches the all-electric three-row SUV Ioniq 9

of Hyundai car company The latest all-electric vehicle is the 2026 Ioniq 9 SUV – a three-row, seven-passenger SUV for the US market.
The new vehicle is Hyundai’s largest electric vehicle to date, alongside the smaller Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 fully electric vehicle in the automaker’s growing fleet.
The Ioniq 9 is expected to to dealers in the US in spring. Hyundai says the car will be capable of fast-charging from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes, have an estimated range of 335 miles on a single charge, and can reach speeds of 0 to 60 mph in no time. The fastest is 4.9 seconds. .
Hyundai declined to reveal the price of the new SUV until it hits showrooms. The Kia EV9, which comes from Hyundai’s sister brand and is based on the same vehicle platform, currently starts at around $55,000.

The Ioniq 9 has a significantly different exterior design compared to Kia EV9 and its smaller Hyundai EV siblings.
Despite slower-than-expected adoption of electric vehicles, Hyundai is sticking with its previously announced plan to supply a full range of electric vehicles to the US, including a portfolio of 23 electric vehicles, by 2030.
Hyundai, including Kia, has sold the second highest number of electric vehicles in the US until the third quarter of this year, ranked only behind the domestic electric vehicle leader Tesla. Kia and Hyundai are owned by the same parent company but largely operate separately in the US
The Ioniq 9 is expected to go on sale in Korea and the US in the first half of 2025, followed by a rollout in Europe and other markets.
