I prefer Astune Academy because the rest of the game is pay-to-play

Problems with some Kemco RPGs begin like a mobile game standard And reward Versions tend to exist. Difference? You can pay to get season pass bonuses, access to certain “cheats,” or other extras that can streamline the experience. This is the case Astune Academy, start that way, before moving to platforms like Switch for a fee. The point is, these additional optional effects helped me enjoy it more than I expected.

The premise behind Astune Academy are several young heroines named Elnatt, Mimosa, and Spica who are attending the academy mentioned in the title to develop their abilities. Because of certain circumstances involving Elnatt turning into a demon when she uses magic and entities, people from different classes all work together under the supervision of a professor named Sirius. Other coincidences lead to Snow, another young witch, also joining the group. It ends up being a fairly typical JRPG. If you liked the previous Kemco and EXE Create RPGs, you’ll know what you’re getting.

What I appreciate is that while the elements you may know are included in the free version may initially be obvious, it’s easy to take advantage of them or ignore them. I mean, yes, you will see exclamation points in the in-game menu notifying you that you have unclaimed bonuses or daily roulette spins available, but you don’t need to carry any of them in that number.

Of course I did. IM old. I play many games at the same time because of work. I enjoy an occasional Kemco because they make me happy. I wouldn’t accept a bounty if it would help me skip a bit of level grinding. I will participate in the daily roulette game, because the bonuses there will help with character development or will give me Star Stones for other “paid” or “cheating” elements. When I first won the 300 Star Stone Meteor Award, I invested in the Full MP Recovery Secret Room item. The second time it appeared, I got enough stones from participating in battles and completing Missions (things you normally do in the game) to pay for the Premium Pass. That unlocked the reward and another Ice Spirit to use as a summon.

The thing is, it also pairs well with other quality-of-life features. You can speed up the battle and enable auto-battle. You can increase your walking speed. There is the ability to move quickly through standard methods, and “local warping” allows you to set a location as a designated area. Before stepping out onto the world map for the first time, you’ll receive a pendant that greatly increases encounter rates and another that eliminates them entirely.

What all this means Astune Academy it ended up being my go-to Kemco JRPG when I wanted something light and not too complicated. I have the option to make it easier thanks to the paid version of the Switch which provides all these facilities to take advantage of the previous extras. On my part, there was little to no stress, and that made it easier for me to enjoy the adventures of magical girls trying to learn and doing their best to help themselves and others. .

Astune Academy available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC and mobile.
