iPhone users in India should install latest update immediately, government warns
The Computer Emergency Response Team of India (CERT-In) has issued an advisory about critical vulnerabilities in multiple Apple products. The advisory notes that these issues affect multiple software versions, including iOS, macOS, and iPadOS, with versions prior to iOS 18, iPadOS 17.7, and macOS 14.7 being particularly affected. Remote attackers can exploit these vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized access and execute code on devices.
In its advisory, CERT-In points out that these vulnerabilities pose a serious security risk. The agency notes that attackers could potentially access sensitive information, execute code, bypass security measures, cause denial of service (DoS) issues, bypass authentication, gain elevated privileges, and perform spoofing attacks. These threats underscore the urgency for users to take the necessary precautions.
